Skype for mac problems with audio for mac#
For Mac users, the conversation history is not saved to the ExchangeĪccount, but instead is saved locally to the Mac. If you have ever wanted to feed your system audio into a Skype call for example, you’re recording a podcast and you want to play a clip from a song or a movie or a voicemail from a listener and you want the other person on your call to hear it and you also want it to come through cleanly on your recording then this might help (assuming you’re on a Mac). Optionally, also remove Microsoft Lync History./Users/username/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Microsoft.In your Documents folder, remove the following:./Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync.log./Users/username/Library/Logs/Microsoft-Lync-x.log (This file is present only if you turned on Lync Logging.)./Users/username/Library/Preferences/ByHost/.Remove the following files from your Library folder:.In the Go to Folder drop-down window, enter.Select the appropriate settings for 'Output' and 'Input'.
If you are having audio problems, and you cant resolve them within the Lync for Mac client, you can specify the input and output devices in your system sound settings: Open System Preferences and select Sound.
To clear out all preferences and other files associated with Lync: It is usually unnecessary to reinstall the application.
If other troubleshooting does not solve the problem, it may be necessary to clear all preferences for Lync for Mac and then set it up as if it were a new installation. Back to top Configure preferences and start over
